London, UK – 11 December 2017 – Solidatus, a leading data lineage discovery and visualisation solution, has been named ‘Best Data Lineage Solution’ at the Data Management Review (DMR) Awards 2017. The awards recognise industry excellence in data management within capital markets and focus on the community of specialised suppliers within financial data management. The ceremony was held on 8th December 2017 at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall on Threadneedle Street in the City of London and was attended by leaders in the financial industry.

“We’re honoured to be recognised as a leader in the space, especially given the level of established players nominated along with us. This is a credit to the work we have put into creating the perfect tool to build end-to-end data maps. This award is a testament to the significance of the application and the brilliant team working so hard on it,” says Solidatus Co-Founder Philip Dutton, “Data lineage is becoming increasingly more important and having a tool which allows an organisation to gain clear insights into their data is essential. We’re seeing a shift of thinking taking place where organisations not only need to be compliant but also need to understand and gain value from their data. Solidatus brings control to an organisations’ data landscape, helping reduce their exposure to risk and improve their data economy. In the simplest form, it’s a data lineage discovery and visualisation tool that is uniquely engineered to allow any sized firm to correctly understand how data flows through their organisation.”

The awards were hosted by Andrew Delaney, Chief Content Officer at The A-Team Group. Delaney was joined by Michael Edwards, better known as Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, as guest speaker and presenter of the awards. In their fifth year and continuing to grow in popularity, the nominations were overseen by the Data Management Summit Advisory Board, which included representatives from top-tier global firms. The board helped shape the categories and nominees, and also reviewed the winners voted for by the 15,000 members of the DMR community, all who have experience of using technology and data services.
