Oracle Database
Oracle estates are where lineage projects usually stall. Solidatus reads the Oracle data dictionary, parses views, procedures, functions and packages, and resolves synonyms and database links, so even long-established Oracle systems become explorable.
What it is
Deep structure, lineage and derivation capture from Oracle Database, including Oracle-specific objects.
What Solidatus captures
Schemas, tables, views, columns, data types, primary and foreign keys, view, procedure and function column-level lineage, packages, synonyms, database link tables, and table and column derivation source code.
What you need
- Network access from the connector host to the database.
- A dedicated restricted user granted SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE.
- A small set of synonyms so the ALL_ data dictionary views point at the equivalent DBA_ views. Your Oracle DBA creates these in a couple of minutes, and we supply the script.
Good to know
Agent and Standalone mode and SOL.UIDs are both supported, and Oracle distributions including Exadata and Oracle on RDS behave like standard Oracle Database, so the same connector covers them.
